Oil tanker for US forces bombed

LANDI KOTAL: A bomb reportedly attached to an oil tanker carrying 44,000 litres oil for US forces in Afghanistan exploded late on Tuesday night, but no casualties were reported.

Sources said driver Riyaz of Peshawar had parked the tanker along the main bypass near the Landi Kotal bazaar to take rest when the bomb exploded at 11.15pm. The Khasadar force arrested the tanker’s driver soon after the blast. Tribal authorities said officials were interrogating the driver. staff report
